Sundown Park

"Fun in the Sun
Just for one day"

Sundown Park

"A family day out
its near "that" place"

Sundown Park is gone.

"fun in the sun
just for one day"

Sundown Park

"A family day out
its near that place"

Sundown park is gone.

"Sad looking" I said to mother and father
"Sad looking, today at Sundown"
"Sad as fuck, why have we come here? Mother?"
Trying to suck the sun down

Subtlety, subtlety.
Damages subtlety.

Sundown Park.

I need to be
quietly high.

Sundown Park is gone.

Why was it here?
The sun it falls down

Sundown Park.

The silent flame
Violent and dead.

Sundown Park is gone and the fun is done.

REASONING.

This song is about a children's theme park on Lincolnshire's borders, which is built scarily close to Rampton's secure mental asylum. I wanted to highlight this fact in song, as it is a ridiculous concept that could only be dreamt up by people who are happy to live in a county where Fishtoft, Ruskington, Cranwell and Fiskerton are considered normal places to live.

Although the lyrics may seem a little abstract, the sun burning a child's eyes should represent the fact that you'd have to be pretty damn stupid to think that building a theme park so close to dangerous people (however secure it is) is a great idea.
